Welcome! Harriet's House was built around 1878 by John and Mary Esselbach, becoming one of the first Put-in-Bay Ohio homes still standing today. In 2002, Linda and Denny Rectenwald took over ownership of the property, renamed this new venture Harriet's House, and a new guest house business began on Put-In-Bay. Customers have been returning year after year as new friendships have been made. If you have not visited yet, we would like to welcome you to our Put-in-Bay rental home or one of our spacious luxury suites.

The Island Suites welcomed their first guests in May of 2005. A combination of Island and local talent, along with a lot of personal sweat equity from family and friends made this new building a reality.
