Angel Fire Ranch is the finest gentleman's ranch available in the Texas hill country. Conveniently located on FM 1431, in Smithwick, TX, this ranch is only 45 minutes from Austin and 15 minutes from the club at Horseshoe Bay.
Land:
Angel Fire Ranch was bought for, and built around, the spectacular hill country views and magnificent oaks. The terrain is dramatic with several different hilltops on the property and deep draws between. This ranch truly feels much larger than it is. The topography provides for excellent watershed. Three large and deep stock tanks have been created throughout the ranch on various draws. Two of the stock tanks have covered docks with power and john boat ramps.
Improvements:
Home: The views grab you and pull you in as soon as you step through the front door because the rolling Texas Hill Country, dotted with sprawling oak trees, just goes on and on. And the home is as grand as the scenery! The graciously sized open living area is ideal for entertaining. Soaring beamed ceilings, a stone fireplace, and built-in shelves are notable features of the family room, which is flanked by walls of windows (did I mention the breathtaking views?) We all know that family and friends love to gather in the kitchen, and there is plenty of room to swap stories and recipes in this island kitchen with the extra-large breakfast bar. And so well appointed, too, with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances including a built-in Sub-Zero refrigerator, electric cook-top with a retractable counter top range hood, wine fridge, double built-in ovens, warming drawer and more. With the large breakfast room, breakfast bar and dining room, there is ample space to serve large groups, with excellent flow between each area and the kitchen. I hope you haven't tired of hearing about the views, because I must mention them again! Windows cover three walls of the dining room allowing the views of the pool and ranch to dominate. Located on the spacious covered patio is a built-in grill where you can grill up a feast and serve guests al fresco. The living area divides the house. On the north side is an office, two bedrooms joined by a shared bath, laundry room and the master suite, which features tray ceiling, built in shelves, dresser and entertainment center. The bath has double walk-in closets, double vanity, stone walk-in shower and jetted garden tub where you can soak in the views while you unwind. The south wing has a second living room with fireplace, screened in porch, full kitchen, one downstairs bedroom suite and two additional bedrooms and a bath upstairs. This south wing would make excellent guest quarters
Foreman Home: Nicely appointed, 1,600 sq. ft. three-bedroom, two-bathroom home with covered outdoor kitchen and patio.
Stables and Arena: Very nice 6 stall barn with paved center breezeway, tack room and feed room. Each stall has individual, piped fence turnouts. The barn leads into a large covered and lighted arena. Arena dimensions are approximately 225x125 Approximately 125x125 of the arena is covered.
Workshop/Hangar: Any hobbyists dream building. This insulated metal building is approximately 110x50 with 5 large bay doors, 3 phase power, office and full bathroom. Roughly 50x50 of this building is a walled off hangar with large sliding doors. The hangar opens to a short grass landing strip suitable for small light aircraft. Don't fly? It would work well for a car collection too!
Other Improvements:
Two detached gar garages
Two stone and mortar out buildings
High fenced perimeter
Wildlife: Angel Fire Ranch is home to wonderfully managed herds of Red Stagg, whitetail deer, and blackbuck. Don't be surprised if you're followed around by three or four inquisitive miniature donkeys on your visit.
Water: The ranch has 4 working water wells and has city water piped in. It's set up for everything.
